Why do you all keep asking questions that are so easily tied up with Monty Python? ^_^
Well, it's nothing very special. Uh, try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations.
But really, the question regarding the meaning of life is probably only answerable by long and arduous argument. And even then it is heavily disputable. Some say it includes living one's life for others, others reply it's simply living well (Aristotle, that selfish jerk). One philosopher might claim that the meaning of life is having oneness with nature, another would hold that only the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom brings significance. Yet others say that life, on the whole, has no meaning and we're better off just digging holes in the ground and filling them with kittens than pondering on what's it all about.
Me, I'm pleased with this life here as long as I'm surrounded by people that I love and that love me. ^_^
That's my long and arduous argument. You're free to dispute if you want to.

I'm going to have to answer this scientifically. The purpose of life is to make more life. As far as we can tell.

The purpose of life couldn't possibly be any simpler.
It's only purpose is to provide you with something to do between your birth and your death.

Our purpose is to reproduce and keep our kind alive as long as possible. What we do in the mean time is entirely up to us.
