I only found Bittersweet Candy Bowl about a week ago through an add on another webcomic I've been reading for a while called Precocious. I was a bit hesitant at first, as I'm not into the whole teen drama scene, but I found myself quickly enthralled in the world this webcomic created and read through it while studying for my finals in about 2 days. (thanks for the distractions=P)
Now, as for myself. My name is Kahlil, but no I am not Lebanese (for any of you who know the origin of that name =P). I am 22 and live in the U.S.A and am about to go take my LAST final for my undergraduate college career in about oh, 2 1/2 hours. (see, this place is distracting me again =P)
I frequent many different sites on the internet included DA (have an account that I haven't updated since high school =P), gaia, and facebook just to name a few. I'm an avid role-player (mainly stick to sci-fi and medieval/fantasy) and enjoy ballroom dancing. I enjoy reading, with my current read being Terry Pratchett's Disc World series. I mainly stick to sci-fi and fantasy novels, though I do enjoy reading more "classic" authors such as Ray Bradbury, Alexander Dumas, and a few others tat i've only read one or two of their books.
I'm a PC gamer, though I havent played in such a long while due to a mobo crash and lack of funds to get my old system back up and running or a new system to replace it.
I don't normally participate on webcomic forums, mainly because I read so darn many. From what I've read, I continue to expect fun things from Bittersweet Candy Bowl and I thank you very much for creating it :3.
EDIT: Also a fan of anime/manga. Favorite anime: Slayers (next/try/Revolution and whatever one came after that. Also I'm rather enjoying the knight of the aqua lord manga.)
Favorite manga: To date, I'd have to be a stereotype and say OP. My first manga was Love hina though X3. Ahhh.. good times.

Hey, welcome! Have fun, nice to see ya. I've got my final in about a week... yay... I love Pratchett. I own a bunch of his books. Also, if your into rp, you might want to check out the DnD thread I started up. We've got 3(?) people right now.

Lol, Thanks you two.
I'll look into the D&D thing, though I've never done that style of RP. Though I have at least one friend trying to get me to join a campaign of theirs. I do rp on another site that I migrated to after... well it sa bit of a story =P. I'm only on Pratchett's 3rd book (equal rites) but I plan on knocking through a lot of them while on break.
Ad I'm a >> << >> psychology major. Dun dun dunnnn. But not the clinical type. SO no worries of me analyzing anyone or stuff like that. I'm more interested in research, y'know, making people do what I want for some obscure goal that they're not entirely familiar with. Lol.
I'm looking at pursuing grad school, but right now I'm waiting on hearing back form places I've applied to >_>

I have no issue with you trying to analyze me. Go ahead and try. *smiles evilly* I've confused the heck out of multiple psychologists.

So.. I take it you're crazy then? Well gee that wasn't too hard XP.
But really, I don't do it. I'm more than happy to listen to friend's problems and such. But I don't beat around the bush with my opinions.. I'm tactfully blunt, especially the more that I understand the situation. I don't pull teeth often to get info out of friends, nor do I chase tails all that much.
However, the reason why you might baffle many psychologists is due to the fact that you may be perfectly normal. They seem to have a hard time understanding that about people sometimes =P. But hey, I gotta get to know ya before I can say anything :3.

...Perfectly normal? Sheesh, if my friends heard you... Heh. I suspect it's because on average, I am perfectly sane and normal! On average.

I've never been analyzed, so I wouldn't know if you were doing it anyway... XD
So, you'll be doing case studies and such? ...or strictly application? I'm not too knowledgeable on this field, so I'm curious. =^^=

I keep planning to take psych (my friends tell me I should/I'd rock in that class/whatever) but I keep running out of room. So much physics to take... and then those darned GE's...

Well, it depends on what sort of Psych course you take, V. The intro to psych courses are nothing but the history of it, which is pretty frickin boring. But the other ones, those are great.
And tuna, case studies are an option, but you kind of have to wait for a case to pop u to study it. Lol. I'm more interested in experimental research, specifically within the human factors field of psychology. I can explain that a bit more later in detail. And again, no worries. If Is tart staring at you intently its just me trying to process stuff.
Also, I guess i should edit my intro to say that I enjoy anime and manga...
Also also... I need to get off here and go back to studying. -points to YIM icon- thats free for all to use. I also have AIM and MSN, but I'm honeslty on YIM the most.

I have diverse tastes :3.

Ninja edit! XD
Ah, Slayers - nice to meet someone who appreciates the old-school titles. ^^ I've tried to watch all of the various Slayers series, but they are soooo hard to find... x.x
OP? I'm guessing One Piece? Y'know, I never got into that...but I never got into Naruto, either...I must be allergic to popular titles. <<;
Perfect Dark...I'm familiar with the video game series, but not an anime by that title...now I'm curious. 83
Pokaan? Heh...I've been tempted to see that, if only for Liru alone. ^^' ...and Love Hina is a personal fave. X3
(My my...how I can go on about anime ^^" )

I started with Tenchi, then watched Slayers, then lots of stuff. TTGL is epic, truly so. Evangelion was interesting, but I got bored 'fore I finished. Elfen Leid was wonderful, one of my faves. Watched Bleach for a while. Got bored.
As for manga, rather eclectic. Lots of stuff. A recent one I remember liking was "Hotel Infinity" or something, about an AI tasked with guarding DNA of all living things after the apocalypse.
Currently, reading and watching Moon Phase anime/manga. It's fun to see the differences.

Hey, someone who reads not only Terry Pratchett's Discworld and Alexandre Dumas, but also Precocious? You've got taste. Oh, and Bittersweet Candy Bowl too, but that one's a given.

You role play? Like, "type out a few paragraphs, and get something back" type of role playing?

I meant darker than black. XD My bad. And yes, I love the classics, but I shall save that discussion for another time since I have quite a few things to respond to =P. Also yes OP = one piece. And I admit some of the arcs kinda get boring, and I can never remember names of characters outside of Luffy's crew. But I wait each week for the newest chapter with bated breath. @ darkdaemon Elfein Leid? Never could get past the gore of it. something about being thinly sliced into ribbons that bothers me for some strange reason =P. ILB I read. A LOT. So Getting around to various authors isn't hard for me. My favorite sci-fi author has got to be Eric S.Nylund and not for his Halo books but for a rarer one he wrote called "A game of unieverse." Absoultely love it. My favorite fantasy writer to date is Jim Butcher, author of the Dresden Files, which are EPIN books. I'll get to the Codex Alera series later. Pratchett and Douglas Adams are close seconds. @ SereneHeaven Exactly. I started out in MSN chats, way back when they were still free, moved to forum based RPs, then to more Chat (webpages) based ones which is where I'm at now. I'll RP with all types though including those below semi-lit. We all gotta start somewhere, eh? The place I rp on now is called boundless universe rp (or BURP for short =P).

HOMG DRESDEN FILES. I am such a Dresden fanboy. I would give that man ever so many hugs. *cough* anyway, Martian Chronicles is a great work, as is the Gods Themselves- 2 excellent "classic" sci-fi books. Ever read "they're made of meat" short story? I love stories like that.
