Question from a new reader

Hi, I'm new to the comic and have been slowly reading through the chapters from the beginning. Although I have already read the current chapter and kind of have an idea of what's going on, I figured reading the whole wouldn't be a bad idea. If anything, its turned out to be very entertaining.

Anyways, I just wanted to know if the chapters on DA are advance chapters of the comic? I mean, is there any relation between those on DA and whats on the Webcomic page. I ask mainly because if they are, I don't want to read spoilers seeing as there only seems to be pages from chapter 66 and onward and the webcomic is only up to 53.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Huh, well, if I weren't at school, I would be able to help you out here. DeviantArt is blocked here. However, I'm pretty sure that there is no Chapter 66 atm. So whatever is on dA is safe to read. She hasn't actually been updating her dArt lately.

Oh, yeah. That's a result of the re-organisation we did back in November. You'll see chapters 60+ on DA, but they're nothing new. We pulled a bunch of chapters from the archive and change some things to "intermissions" so that the total amount of chapters are reduced. We also changed a few names..

If it matters, consider the website's chapter numbers "canon". They will be carefully kept in the future. The DA numbers are old and weren't really determined with a lot of thought behind them.

Just read the comic on the site, basically.

I'm going to hijack this thread with a new question.

Over the next few days I'm hoping to set up a WordPress that I may or may not blog in much. The main reason for setting it up is to have a nice little centralized listing of all the webcomics that I read, so that I can access them while away from my house and share them with friends. Given that, I'm going around collecting Link images for the web pages I'll be linking to.

Does BCB have one? Because I sure as heck can't seem to find it. If not, would it be okay to make my own? I'm rather skilled in manipulating photoshop, but I wanted to ask before I went about doing anything like that. Because this webcomic deserves one instead of a word link =P.

Not really. The idea of such a thing kind of seems dated to me.. Text links seem to be more relevant and less intrusive, unless you're doing something of your own design (like Lesnick's ponies).

You're welcome to make your own. I also think somewhere in the RSS feed I made a small button for the site, but it's hardly anything special.

it might be outdated, but less intrusive isn't exactly what I'll be going for on the picture links.
Consider it free advertisement if anyone actually reads the blog XD.
Also, I must point out that it was an ad (though it was a side page banner ad, not a banner banner ad) that brought me to BCB in the first place.

Actually, is a banner size too big? There's a kind of non-advertising banner sized image used on topwebcomics.com that might suit you..

Huh... I never did think of looking there, though thats where I find most of my webcomics. Yeah, something like that should work just fine :3.
