Me? I prefer fantasy, and teen novels. I'm pretty simple to figure, and, yes, I do pick up a rare romance novel from time to time. o xo They do have a lot of sex in them, but I find the characters amazing! So well written~ Ugu~ I hate that people won't give them a chance.
A few of my faves are the Harry Potter series (I am OBSESSED. Seriously.), Percy Jackson books, The Sight and Fell.
The author of The Sight and Fell is spectacular, though I only like his animal based books. I tried reading one of his human based ones, and just couldn't stomach it. I guess that was a few years ago, so I could give it another try at some point, I imagine.
What about all of you? Have comments on the ones I like? Or do you wanna show of your own faves? Let me know!!

I'm a great fan of Harry Potter, too. J.K. Rowling is an amazing author. Also, I greatly enjoy Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, and I'm currently reading the series for the second time.
Strangely, I'm not otherwise interested much in fantasy. Gerard Hoffnung's music caricature books are incredibly fun, and I'm currently trying to find a copy of Leo Tolstoj's War and Peace to read that. Victor Hugo and Alexandre Dumas are also among my favourite writers.
Apart from that, I read dictionaries. ^_^

But right now I'm reading The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, By the amazing Douglas Adams

I go through phases of reading political books. Mainly leftie stuff and radical atheism, whatever's in vogue amongst mainstream socialists. The main fiction I read is.. er.. I have no idea actually. Whatever's supposed to be good, but I'm more likely to be reading bestseller crap than fantasy books or whatever else. Not Harry Potter or Twilight, though, I mean "adult" novels for people who are smart and can understand Dan Brown's sophisticated prose.. I am seriously not at that level of maturity yet. If I tried to pick one of those books up, I'm sure my brain would explode. At least because of the strain I put on it from thinking. Sometimes I find myself wishing I were, but I'm stuck in a childlike state at the moment. It's almost sad. :[

My enormous Physics textbook... that I'll be using for about 3 more quarters... Bleh. I'm kinda busy, so I currently read easy to digest stuff- webcomics, mostly. But I do enjoy sci-fi, fantasy, and atheistic literature.
I'm familiar with most of the works mentioned, but here's one I like that no one has typed of: Ciaphas Cain (Hero of the Imperium!) is an excellent series. Features a self-depreciating hero, in a very good way. Humor, action, and a bit of romance. Just what I like in a book.
