This is a good thread. I actually have some of these. Except Joy Division, I feel like they're a little boring.
Then again, I thought that about Depeche Mode then I got some greatest hits album and it's really badass.

XD ....and I don't even know who those two people are. o.o Also, I didn't mean any offense with my initial comment - I actually own the originals of a few of the titles you've listed - I was just under the impression that the readership of the comic skewed kinda young, which would place a lot of those titles before most of the folks here were born. I just thought it was interesting. :3

It seems my edit has come a bit late... <<;
Uhm...there's no need for the language, really...
As I said in my edit, I know all of those titles, and own several of them - I listened to them when they were NEW, okay? I'm not some johnny-come-lately who is listening to these old titles because it's cool.
I simply thought it was interesting that folks were rediscovering these old songs - that's all. No need to get so defensive. o.o
EDIT: Oh yeah - I like Blues, Jazz, Big Band, 70s rock, a lot of 80s stuff, early 90s, and that's about it. I only know Hana Montana from that Simpsons episode. XD

Oh, no, I wasn't assuming that you were 12 - I was talking about the comic's readership - when Taeshi had everyone share info about themselves last week, there were a looooot of responses in the 12-16 year range. ^^'
...and no worries - I've probably heard of her, but just blocked it out. XD

heh, J-tull still tours, but they certainly look their age
and most of the bcb readers are young, but that does not necessarily affect music choices
